57. Getting a piercing somewhere sensitive

Sitting quietly with his eyes screwed shut, it was taking all the boy’s willpower to hold still as he had been instructed. He could sense the needle hovering so close to his ear that his skin was already prickling with the thought of the pain that would follow. Bracing himself for the pain and focusing on nothing else but that needle now pressed to his earlobe, he received quite a shock when a door was slammed at the same moment the piercing needle stabbed through. He squealed, jerking away from it as a panic made him whirl around toward the door to see just who was intruding.
