          playing   the   part   of   gracious   host   was   boring   .   jane   adjusts   the   simple   mask   that   she   is   wearing   ,   looks   out   into   the   crowd   .   her   throat   still   burns   :   the   movements   of   all   these   humans   does   nothing   to   help   it   .   but   aro   has   told   her   to   go   out   ,   to   mingle   .   and   while   she   would   love   nothing   more   than   to   continue   to   be   above   everyone   else   ,   jane   knows   better   than   to   disobey   .   she   picks   up   a   flute   of   champagne   on   the   way   ,   hands   it   to   the   first   person   she   sees   once   she's   down   the   stairs   while   forcing   a    smile   .   '   are   you   enjoying   the   festivities   so   far   ?   '   @ofsetfree​   !
