from the moment her eyes had first greeted the new morn, padmé had known it; it was one of the days when heaviness would hug her chest for a reason unknown, and keep her devoted company until she'd rest her head again, or once it'd simply 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 satisfied. this sensation, for over a decade, had held her by both a hand and the throat in turns. it was as though she was grieving for the dots of light on the endless canvas of the universe, for something which's full capacity her mortal mind wouldn't ever be able to comprehend, but what existed and was as real as the life's essence pumping through the veins of both hers and his — the company of the wise jedi master had oddly enough managed to soothe the sweet melancholia rattling her bones. with a pensive frown on her features, padmé's attention shifted to the person sitting on a seat next to her. ❝ may i ask, have you ever felt... inexplicable kind of sorrow ? ❞
