CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR THE NERDS!
She slides in with 3 presents behind her back, one for each of the boys. All three of them got sweaters, but there was also something extra for Bruce and Tony: Bruce got an emerald ring on a chain, the stone shaped like a green snowflake to commemorate them getting snowed in, and there was a piece of paper in Tony’s that said “Look Up.”
OF couse, she was wearing a bow on her sweater, grinning wide. “Technically, I’m your present, but you also have this–”
Pressing a small object into his hands, it was a small ring modeled after the Iron Man armor, strung on a gold chain.
“Merry Christmas. I made the rings myself. Oh, almost forgot–”
She tossed a smaller box at Steve, with dogtags engraved with a pattern designed to emulate his shield and uniform. “Didn’t know if you would like a ring, sorry. It’s not too cliché, is it?”
As Bruce inspected his ring, his eyes flashed green for a second. “The Other Guy approves of the choice in color.”
“You’re such a dork...” Tony pulled her down into his lap and hugged her. “But you’re the best present ever!” He smooched her back, noting how Bruce awkwardly shuffled beside him.
Then there was Steve, feeling like the usual outsider whenever Taru came around. “It’s not cliche at all. It’s actually perfect.” Steve tried to get another word in, but he was too distracted by Tony’s smooching, so he just left the room.
