Aurora could hear them tell the handmaiden who had answered the door that he had arrived--she had never felt her heart sink so fast before. If she were being honest, she didn’t want anything to do with the prince. All she knew was he was a prince she had never met, to a kingdom she wasn’t familiar with, and he was to be her husband. Aurora was a positive person, and yet she couldn’t find anything positive in this.
Upon hearing he had arrived, the rest of the maids hurried to finish tying her corset, smoothing the skirt of her crimson dress and fixing her golden hair. So much effort to look nice for someone she didn’t know. It wasn’t long before she was ready, and the blonde left her room heading for the grand ballroom. By now, he had already met her parents--and she was to meet him alone. They opened the doors for her and shut them as she walked inside, it made the princess feel trapped, and she didn’t like it.
She let out a soft sigh as she approached him. Maybe this wouldn’t be as bad as she was thinking.
