6.) How did they become official?

So.

It comes after the realization and eventual acceptance that they are both, in fact, dead and presumably going to be residing in the home where they died forevermore, obviously. There’s a period of… I don’t want to say friction, per se, between them after that realization, but they both feel a bit lost and are individually struggling with it. As one would.

However.

Time moves a bit differently for them now, and it isn’t until the war is over and a family is moving back in to the house and repairing it that they both really start to accept that this is their new reality. It’s a lot of longing and quiet companionship until one day something just… shifts. Maybe the real journey was accepting you were an old married couple the entire time. #myromantichaunting #myghostpartner

7.) How did they act with one another during the crushing stage?

He had an immediate crush on her upon waking up in that house, and he cycled through trying to act like he wasn’t wounded and in need of her help to impress her and then falling into her arms like a sickly victorian child when he realized that was a more effective method. She’s a caretaker at heart and spent her days fussing over him left and right. He likes making her laugh, mostly. It’s his favorite sound he’s ever heard.

17.) What do they do that make their partner think, "Damn, that's hot." (Could be an innocent gesture)

Oh, this one is easy. Lily has a singular curl that’s perpetually falling into her face even with her hair tightly pulled back, and every time she tucks it behind her ear again it makes him feel shrimp emotions for one reason or another. Mostly the overwhelming urge to tuck it for her, I suspect. On the other hand, Lily is a chronic American woman and any Welsh that comes out of his mouth is the prettiest and most interesting thing she’s ever heard a man say, actually. It doesn’t particularly matter what he’s saying, even.

7.) Who is your OC's best or closest friend?

His fraternal twin brother Gareth, for sure. He’s also quite close with his younger sister Nia, but he and Gareth were attached at the hip. They did practically everything together, including eventually enlisting. They were actually pretty devastated they eventually got separated, but Gareth specialized as a combat medic and was needed elsewhere. By the time the story starts, Robert less than a month past receiving word that Gareth was killed in Italy. He’s not really felt quite right since then.

Lawful good. Good boy. Good lad.

To go the fuck home, man. He enlisted, to be fair, but he certainly didn’t anticipate the full extent of what he’d actually experience at war. He enlisted at 18, and his own naivety really starts to chap his ass as time goes on. It’s taken much longer than he was promised by propaganda, it’s fucking freezing, he got clipped in the shoulder a few weeks ago and it still smarts a bit when he moves—

Yeah. Fuck Hitler and all that, but christ. He misses his family. He misses his bed. He misses not having wet socks.

2.) What nicknames, titles, or other terms of address does your OC have? Is there one they prefer?

— ROBERT

Private. Bobby. Bob. Rusty. He’s not particularly keen on Bob, but he’s pretty easygoing otherwise. Whatever strikes your fancy.

— TYLER

Gunny. Ty. He doesn’t mind gunny since it’s tied to his rank vs his actual name, but he prefers only those close to him use Ty. Do not call him TJ. Please. Thank you.

6.) How large is your OC's family?

— ROBERT

I was going to say decent sized, but honestly? Modest sized for mid-century Catholics. He had a twin brother who was killed in Italy before him, and a younger sister at home. Both loving parents were still living when he went off to war. Lots and lots of cousins and aunts and uncles, though. Christmas was always, um, lively in their tiny home. He misses it.

13.) What weapon and/or equipment does your OC use most regularly?

— ROBERT

The standard issue Lee-Enfield babey! Nothing fancy—he’s just a wee infantry boy. He did get to mess around with a American friend’s ✨M1 Garand✨ a time or two, though.

Oh, man. His spread is a bit more extensive. His actual MOS is 0331, so when he’s not on a detour to drill instructor city, he’s a machine gunner. As a machine gunner, it’s his job to be proficient with all kinds of heavy arms and, in turn, get loaded down with all the heavy shit. In short: whatever the hell they throw at him for the day. He’s flexible.
