9.) Their favorite color? Does it show?
— TANNER
Purple, and yes. He has a purple beaded bracelet he wears all the time. He has a purple hat that’s been worn to shit so it honestly kind of looks black, but it’s definitely purple. Ish. A handful of shirts, purple socks—you get the picture. He’s definitely not wearing it all the time, but he starts to channel Barney at least once a week.
— PARKER
Green, and no, not particularly. He owns a few green shirts and one (1) green father’s day mug, but otherwise it’s not too obvious. His wardrobe is pretty muted and neutral color-wise, and he doesn’t wear any jewelry beyond a wedding ring. He’d be over the moon if someone actually noticed and bought him something specifically because it was his favorite color, though.
17.) Is their personality similar to their parents?
— TANNER
Hehe. Haha. Lol. Lmao. Yeah. Don’t get me wrong, he has a solid dose of Mary-Ellen in him, but Tanner is veeeeeeery similar to his daddy, Jason. About 95% of their conflicts boil down to the fact that Tanner and Jason are virtually the same person in different fonts. Tanner would be extremely hard pressed to admit it, honestly. He personally strives to be more like his mama, but he will never ever beat the Jason 2.0 allegations.
— PARKER
Not particularly these days, but he was more like his mama when he was younger. The biggest thing he still takes from her is his tendency to try and deal with things by himself, and the resulting emotional isolation that comes from it. I think he’ll probably mellow back into being more like her in a more positive sense again as time goes on. It’s, uh—y’know. Complicated. Parker’s complicated.
19.) Who is the person they love the most? Who is the most hated?
— TANNER
Oh, man. Love the most? His mama or his brother, honestly. He loves Jason too, but Parker was his hero growing up, and even with the issues between them currently it’s hard to shake that. I don’t think Tanner hates anyone he’s ever met personally. It’s not something that’s really in his nature.
— PARKER
I’m also gonna say his mama or his brother, but also his daughter Willa. He’s a shitty husband (…again, complicated) but a good father, which counts for something. Hates? Y’know. Himself. 🙂
20.) Did they have a happy childhood?
— TANNER
Mostly, yeah. I mean… he had cancer, so that journey wasn’t exactly a high point. But otherwise? Yeah, I think he’d describe his childhood as happy. He grew up around hockey and got to travel a bit with his dad when he was still actively playing which is something that he looks back fondly on. His mama was alive. He and Parker were still getting along. His family actually saw each other on holidays and birthdays. Yeah. Life was good.
— PARKER
It’s tricky. Before Tanner got sick? Yeah, he’d give the same assessment as Tanner—life was actually pretty good. Parker was always a bit more of a serious kid, and he really internalized a lot more of the “Jason 2.0” pressure, but he was a pretty happy kid until his brother got sick. It wasn’t until after that happened and that pervasive feeling of resentment started to creep in that his story changed. Parker has a lot of very, very complicated feelings towards his brother and father these days after so many of his milestones were completely missed. Add in guilt for feeling that resentment at all, and, well. Y’know. Like I said. Parker’s complicated.
21.) How did their childhood room look?
— TANNER
Oh, boy. Hockey posters plastered everywhere. He had so much signed shit and pucks from his dad and his teammates that his room almost started looking like a hockey museum. Sprinkle in some toy planes here and there and the racecar bed he had until his legs were quite literally dangling off the edge at night. It was probably the most chaotic room of the house.
— PARKER
Notably very little hockey memorabilia. He had a long boarding phase as a teenager that died out pretty quickly but for a while that took up quite a bit of space. A few books, a few video game posters coming and going as his interest waxed and waned. The biggest thing he remembers about his childhood room is the trellis near his window that somehow supported his weight when he was sneaking out as a teenager (…until it didn’t.)
38.) Are they organized or messy?
— TANNER
He’s not fully messy, per se, but he’s definitely not a super neat person. There’s no dirty dishes laying around, but he’s definitely guilty of leaving his stinky ass gear bag open in the middle of the living room floor and calling it a day when he’s exhausted. He’ll get it tomorrow, probably after he cracks a window because the entire apartment smells like dead raccoon now.
— PARKER
He’s the more organized sibling for sure. Cleaning the house sometimes is an act of self soothing for him, so it’s not unheard of to find him half drunk and doing the laundry at 2 am. He built Willa’s crib in about the same state. It was inspected again sober the next day. It’s fine.
43.) How would they describe themselves?
— TANNER
Tanner would default to describing himself as a guy trying his best. He hopes he’s a good guy. A good teammate and a good leader. He’s just some guy. His opinion of himself is pretty neutral.
— PARKER
If I’m being strictly honest, I think it would make him uncomfortable enough that he would outright refuse. Parker’s sense of self is very damaged and I think the most you would get out of him is him “jokingly” calling himself an asshole in a tone that has you wondering for several hours if it was actually a joke at all.

i Prefer writing oneshots but i’m bad at it 😔 hence the 6 active multichapter fics and also the Many more in my drafts

I think I would be remiss if I said anything but his hair. Ivan has excellent hair and takes great pride in having excellent hair. He has a ridiculous haircare routine but the truth is he could wash it with Dawn dish soap and still have ridiculously gorgeous hair. It pisses Lily off to no end. His father is bald so he lucked out in managing to get his mama’s thick hair.

His confidence and fun loving, whimsical nature, babey! Connor’s always down to have a good time, and he has the best time when the people around him are also having a good time. He will tell the waiter you ordered no pickles. He will be your fake boyfriend if some guy at the bar is harassing you. He has no qualms about hitting the “is this guy bothering you” if he sees a woman in distress in public. King shit.

Ivan is deeply intelligent and a good conversationalist if you can get over the vague air of haughtiness he sometimes puts off by default. — CONNOR
Yes. Yes, he does. And the world suffers for it. Connor is VERY confident in his appearance and wielded that confidence like a weapon for at least the first five years of his career. He was a whore. His exploits were legendary. Men who are well and properly ran through. He still thinks he’s hot as hell, he’s just discovered that he really likes getting back scratches at night from Lily.

Ivan doesn’t particularly think about it all that much. He thinks he’s, like, presentably average, but doesn’t really dwell on his physical appearance. It’s not something that’s really important to him, and it’s not something that he would ever try and use in that sense.

She has a complicated relationship with her own self esteem and will wildly swing from “I am the hottest bitch who has ever walked this Earth” to “I am a little troll creature under the ugly bridge do not perceive me”, so like… y’know. Normal. She does absolutely take advantage of men buying her free drinks in bars, though. Who is she to turn down free shit?

— CONNOR
He does, but this comes with the massive disclaimer that if you didn’t love him at his Too Much Drakkar Noir, you don’t deserve him at his Tasteful Amount of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, y’know? We don’t talk about how he smells fresh out of the rink. That doesn’t count and would traumatize the strongest of noses.

He says he smells clean. Like soap. What more do you want from him? (Yes. He smells fine. He prefers scents that are more muted because he gets migraines, and usually stays more in the “clean” or “woodsy” scent family.)

She does! Lily really enjoys lotions and perfumes and will often switch between a warm vanilla or something light and floral depending on the season. She had a stage where she really liked using too much of those overwhelming Sol de Janeiro body sprays (and constantly gave Ivan said migraines) but she’s moved on thankfully. Her hair always smells pretty. It’s mystifying. There’s usually an undercurrent of cigarette smoke there, but she insists it’s not too noticeable.

— CONNOR
Ehhh. I mean this so lovingly when I say he genuinely does sound like a Wahlberg. Closer to Donnie than Mark in my mind, but very comparable accent-wise. He also speaks loudly almost all the time, which is offputting for a lot of people. Understandably.

Well. That wildly depends on how you feel about the Ukrainian accent. His has softened after being mostly in the States and Canada for about 10 years now, but he makes a conscious effort not to lose it completely.

Not particularly, I don’t think. I mean… it’s a voice. She has a pretty average voice for a woman, maybe a bit lower and with some weird intonations here and there. Her accent varies between verses, but it’s somewhere between Sarah and Annabelle’s (when putting on an American accent) speaking voices in my head.
1.) How was your OC’s first sexual experience? Was it planned or spontaneous? Positive or negative? If they haven’t yet had any sexual experiences then how are they hoping their first experience will play out?
— CASEY
It was planned in the sense that he and Lily went as far to steal condoms from the drugstore after deciding it was Time. So… yes. It was an overall positive—albeit fumbling and awkward—experience, and he almost gave himself a concussion fumbling around in the back of his shitty truck. 10/10 he would do it again, concussion and all.
— CONNOR
Aw. I get to expose him for being a late bloomer who lost his virginity to a bottle girl in Vegas. It was… fine. Obviously very, very spontaneous and not a sober experience for anyone involved. He was 20 and he’d just won his first Cup, and he was balls deep in a lifestyle he couldn’t have ever dreamt of before. He doesn’t particularly think back on it often as anything but a “huh. well, that happened.” neutral event. He thinks she was probably a nice gal. (He does not remember her name.)

He says he doesn’t have one. I say Casey. Please. Work with me here, buddy. He stares at me for at least ten minutes before finally conceding that Lily likes his smile. I pat him on the head. (Lily would agree that this is a good feature of his, but she’s also very partial to his arms/shoulders/hands as well.)

Connor doesn’t have to be coaxed. Connor has to be cut off. He’s gesturing to his face. He says look at this mug. It’s great. (It is.) He also has large hands and is very aware that they’re a hit with his partners. Lily would (lovingly roll her eyes and) agree with these assessments, but also would like to submit a case for his slutty little hips.
20.) Does your OC enjoy foreplay and like to extend it for some time? Or would they sooner get straight down to business as soon as possible? If their partner is differently wired in this regard then how do they compromise?

He’s pretty standard, honestly. Sometimes it feels a bit rushed because his poor back has a limited timer before he needs to not be participating in vigorous physical activity. For the most part, Case prefers to read the vibes and follow his partner’s lead. Matías prefers a bit of a quicker pace. Lily? A bit slower. When they’re all sleeping together it’s like trying to bake two entirely separate items in the oven and trying to balance different times and temperatures, but it works.

It vastly depends on the situation and vibes, honestly. Hookup? Let’s go, let’s get moving, let’s get to it— But if he’s actually into someone? He’s perfectly content to eat pussy for hours. A king. Never finding purpose again, babey! He suffers from the classic veteran “well what the FUCK do I do now” issues, alongside dealing with his new physical limitations that getting one’s leg blown off brought. His skills don’t transfer, he struggles physically with most of the jobs that are available in his area, and he just… is terrified that he’ll never be a useful human being ever again.
That, and scorpions. Notably not camel spiders, though.
25.) What does your OC want most?
— TYLER
There’s a very small, very sad little boy inside Tyler that ultimately just wants to be loved and accepted. He would very much disagree with that assessment, but it’s the reason why he kept leaping back into the fire so to speak by going home over and over hoping his parents would suddenly be loving. He just wants to be seen and cared for and found worthy of such.

I feel like I kinda got into it above, but he just really, really wants to not be a burden to his friends and family. He brushes it off with humor constantly, but he struggles for years privately. He wants to feel like a Guy, not something that other people have to accommodate and care for.
