nope. to be honest i doubt their entire existence could be considered very long term in general nevermind the portion of it they didnt spend suffering. after mm2 they were brought back just to be reverse engineered and understand the technology that went into them, they were killed once they were no longer useful.
and yeah airman does get some solace but hes pretty much the only one who does, and all of the stuff he gets up to really threw into the air how much sway directives have over robot masters and just how much free will they actually have. WHICH YEAH TURNED OUT TO BE A LOT. a notably sadistic combat robot who has known nothing but violence for their entire life and is programmed to be violent making the very active decision to start being a harsh noise producer rather than killing people entirely of their own volition, in fact actively rebelling against lightlabs in order to do it??? that definitely lead to questions being asked.
