its a rather frigid night . thor is bundled in a long petty coat and his comrade has done what she can to keep her small frame warm . the trip home from the bar is a fun one with the amount of alcohol coursing through them to help aid in the warmth . they could have probably taken a cab to get back but the walk , itself , wasn’t far and laura insisted .
they walk the streets and at night its quite the sight . with the buildings and their lights to the sounds of others bustling about . laughs fill the air as they walk and reminisce about just an hour earlier when the fools at the bar thought they could out shoot the pair in pool . joke was certainly on them.
maybe they did drink a little too much and laura stumbles , falling against the near by brick wall , but she drags thor in with her . her laugh never falters and thor can’t help but make note of just how BEAUTIFUL it is when she laughs . its full and whole hearted . his hands brace the wall so his weight does not crush her against the wall and to catch himself since he’s not in the best shape either .
they are close, extremely so , and enought hat warm breaths can be felt on cheeks and lips. leaning in at the same time seems almost too easy for such a simple brush of lips . just the action forces his chest to heave in anticipation . though , it only lasts a second and he leans back to gauge her reaction . she doesn’t move away or reject but instead curls her fingers into the front of his coat .
after that , its instantaneous with a hand that comes up to frame her cheek and he kisses her once more . just a little more firmly this time and she kisses him back . oh hell . thor can’t help but feel like he’s been doomed but its something that he can’t help but WANT .
