To anyone struggling eith tumblr censoring accounts!!!

Go into your account settings, click on 'what I see' and allow sensitive content (it may appear a bit different but that is the issue!)

Yeah, for me, I have to use desktop or mobile browser and go to Settings > Account > scroll down to Content Labels and toggle on show mature content, like this:

Tumblr keeps showing me posts in one of my fandoms by a user claiming they are no longer welcome in the fandom and that they are frustrated about being blocked by a lot of people and keep getting rude anons.

I don't follow this person, but I was concerned, so I checked their post history to see if they were, in fact, being treated unfairly.

Lo and behold, almost every post of theirs is an angry, hateful, inflammatory accusation about other writers in the fandom who have blocked them because they're an asshole.

I guess the old adage is true:

If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole.

I FINALLY GOT MY SMUT UNPURGED!! 🙌🏻

After months of harassing Dumblr about my wrongfully purged content, ...they send me a stupid dancing mushroom gif. 🙃 I’m not kidding. It took months of this sort of nonsense:

For some weird reason my tumblr keeps on unfollowing people so if you see a random notification from me that's just me following you back. I was wondering why I wasn't seeing you on my dash lol

Tumblr has been doing that to me for WEEKS, it has unfollowed like half my mutuals at some point and it’s driving me CRAZY! Don’t even worry about it I just hope they get it figured out soon honestly because it’s a pain in the ass. ‘

So

any sexy gifs that I like and get posted around and reblogs amongst moots as fic insp get flagged and deleted.

And friends' blogs get put in Tumblr horny jail for posting smut even without visuals.

More importantly things that are lgbtq related but are nonsexual content get flagged. (These aren't all recent just a Tumblr oldie complaining about what I've seen in my time.)

And yet Tumblr has "for you" where posts are just a lady's butthole as I scroll the dash.

I know complaining about Tumblr being held together by masking tape is old hat. But I'm just tired of the double standard of Tumblr "eradicating" all porn, when it means just like the rest of the time in all corners of the real world and the internet, I see women endlessly sexualized (for the male gaze let's be honest) but have no chance to see the sexy things I want to see.

This is not against porn btw, or women who want to put their buttholes on the internet! Go for it! This is about Tumblr censoring sexual content in erratic ways.

Just lamenting how Tumblr used to be bastion for visual horniess before The Porn Purge™️ and now seems to be only to catering to a specific type of horniess, the heterosexual male gaze.
