ask-ancano: Ancano glanced up at the tall mer, quite surprised by his unusual appearance. Though he appeared to be Altmer at first glance, the pale skin tone and blue eyes were more akin to a Nord. The odd combination of features strangely reminded Ancano of the accounts he had read about the Snow Elves of millennia past… however those pale ancient ancestors of the Falmer no longer existed. This mer was quite obviously half-Altmer half-Nord, and had made a very grave mistake in approaching an agent of the Thalmor. “Hmh, yes. I am an adviser to the Arch-Mage,” replied Ancano calmly, “… And you are?”

"I am Knight-Paladin Gelebor, and it is a pleasure to meet you, advisor," the guardian replied cheerfully. "I am a visitor from the far reaches of this province.  I have lived scores of centuries, yet have seen little during my time. I assure you that my visit harbours no insidious intentions. These curious eyes simply wish to benignly gaze over these ancient halls, this heart to open to those that reside here.".  If there was any sign of animosity in the speech pattern of the calmly spoken Thalmor, the old elf completely missed it. Perhaps his concern that this one's initial demeanor indicated that he differed greatly from Lhaeben was nothing more than a misconstrued observation on his part. Perhaps, still, a wise move would be to reassure the Altmer about his unusual appearance, for the subtle widening of his eyes in surprise at his impromptu guest had not gone unnoticed. "I appreciate that my visage is highly atypical for this modern day and age," Gelebor explained gently, "Many before you have had their curiosities gladly answered to that regard. You are no exception, Ancano. Should you wish to ask of my ancestry, I would gladly answer any of your queries."
