" Hey. You can't borrow that book. I got dibs on it." Hibiki hissed at Seiichi.
@rosanimemuses !!
It wasn’t often Seiichi really borrowed books from the school’s library. Not because he felt they wouldn’t have anything good, but he usually went to public libraries or manga shops to buy or borrow them. But since the library wasn’t crowded with students as it usually tends to be: he decided that’d be a perfect chance to scour the bookshelves to see if he’d find anything that would pique his interest.
Mystery was his most favorite genre, especially if it was a detective story. He was also a big fan of thrillers, suspense, adventure... novel and manga wise. But as long as a good book could keep him really engaged: he was willing to try anything, even genres he may not normally like or read often.
As he was scouring the shelves, this one book did catch his attention. “Oh?” It was one he doesn’t believe he’s read before, and taking a quick look at the summary on the back: it did look interesting... “Hmm... maybe I’ll give this one a try...” He smiles... until he heard the other’s voice hiss that at him.
“Gghk-?!” Nearly dropping the book, Seiichi jumped at Hibiki’s voice as his head snapped into the direction it came from. “H....H-Huh?” While a part of him did want to argue that he can’t tell him what he can and can’t borrow in a library... this guy was bigger, taller, and intimidating looking. There was no way he was going to argue with this guy, especially over a book. Even if he really did want to borrow this, himself....
“O-Oh...uh...” So with a small nod, he instantly puts it back, taking slow, shaky steps backwards away from the other. “I-I see. Sorry... I uh: d-didn’t know. You can take it, then...” (”Y-Yeah, noooo way in hell I’m setting this guy off. He totally looks like a bully...”)
