hey lol
Wait can you talk about what's wrong with the main actors makeup in RAH? Bc I didn't really notice any issues but I'm dumb and wanna know lmao
Sure! and you’re not dumb, I’m just obsessed. 😅
Sierra: RIP Christine’s curls. While her wig wasn’t particularly curly to begin with, the deflation of the majority of her curls was pretty noticeable, even by the beginning of act II. And they were totally done-zo by the final lair. While it wasn’t really bad, it shouldn’t have happened. I would say the likely reason why the curls weren’t saved was because of all the extra time the actors had to spend getting around back stage at the RAH, which left no time for touch-ups.
Hadley: Where Sierra may have had too little help, Hadley had too much. I don’t know if he was responsible for it, but his makeup was just... a lot. The guyliner is the obvious thing here- Hadley was out there rocking the “When you have to bring your girlfriend to the Masquerade @9 but go play with your MCR cover band @10" look throughout the show. His foundation/setting powder was applied with a heavy hand as well, and seemed to only get worse as the show progressed. Maybe he was afraid of sweating it off, and just smacked on a bit more for good luck each time he was off stage?
Ramin: Without looking back at the behind the scene video, I believe they said a good bit of time and thought was was put into the look of the Phantom’s deformity for POTO@RAH. It’s pretty sad then that Ramin ended up with his prosthetic neck skin flapping in the wind by the end of MOTN. It looks like they tried to fix it for his appearances in AIAOY Reprise and Wandering Child, but it was looking reeeealy rough in the Final Lair. Perhaps you could be generous and think of it as part of Erik’s condition... but to me it was distracting. And again, some of this may have been the result of the complicated back stage situation stealing time for touchups, but that doesn’t change how just plain terrible it looked, and we have HD closeups of it.
