We had an AMAZING time at University of Hawaii Hilo! We ate fresh lunch, had an admissions tour and talk, and also got to see the marine biology department. Sit in on a methods class that just got back from collecting samples on a boat and hear about their project based curriculum. It was inspiring and felt like a possible home after Aveson.
We had the chance to work on a Kona coffee farm! Everyone at Heavenly Hawaii was so nice and we learned so much as we did vertical selection. Bonus math problem- the coffee pictured is $20/pound (not-roasted) and each bag has 100 pounds. How much money is in their "vault"?
