Bruhhhhh when I say I bawled because of Mi Ran and her little bro Nam Tae...their bond is so sweet and pure.
It’s set in the 90s and basically, a college student Go Mi Ran reluctantly signs up for a project to be cryogenically frozen with the hotshot PD Ma Dong Chan of the broadcasting station to help take care of her family and of course shenanigans happen it lands her 20 years into the future.
The drama’s pacing drags a bit but the meat and potatoes are the relationships.

That’s exactly what I mean. Love her character and the child who plays her is wonderful. BUT! I am so tired of having queer characters played for a joke. If your character is queer make them obviously queer. SAY IT WITH YOUR WHOLE FUCKIN CHEST DUFFER BROs. Her storyline read as her being infatuated w/ Steve like nah just have her straight obviously into ladies you cowards. Even if she doesn’t say it before that moment have her like glance at women and shit SOMETHING
it plays more like “she’s not like other girls” for most of the season, it’s so weird. why have her sexuality be a “ha! see! she can’t like steve, she’s gay!” plot twist, which ultimately does more for steve’s characterization, when you’re already slow burning will’s? like i love steve but i wish the writers didn’t feel the need to orbit the arcs of female characters around men. they really need some fresh eyes in the writer’s room
I was immensely frustrated with Hopper/Joyce storyline. Loved having more Erica the Icon. Super fucking frustrated with how Robin was handled. Like ridiculously so.
i love robin and i want more robin but i definitely feel like she’s a male writer’s fantasy and she could’ve been handled much much better so that it didn’t feel like they were just had her come out as a ‘gotcha’ to us saying the show is aggressively straight
