#39 Snek
So one of the things I like most about teaching in rural Japan is all the kinds of nature you can encounter everyday. Swallows building their nests on the side of the school, noisy frogs in the rice fields, or the ridiculous amount of bugs EVERYWHERE (that ones less nice but still cool)
Then there was the time the science teacher came bursting into the teachers room waving about a snake he caught... on the third floor. This was all pretty cool until the snake decided it had had enough and tried to make a run for it (slither for it?). It was fantastic chaos. Thankfully the snake was released outside and slithered away between the rice fields unharmed.

Remember the "f*cktory" comic? The kids in my class slip up all the time, but it's a true rare and wonderful moment when they accidently say something naughty. As the only fluent English speaker in the classroom I'm the only one who picks up on these moments, and although I usual don't call attention to it I couldn't help myself this time. Besides, kids love poop stuff.

お誕生日おめでとう!🥳🎉 Birthday birthday, happy OH NO birthday to me! On this day, [redacted] years ago I came into the world and shits been pretty weird honestly but at least bubbly wine exists, so that's neat 👍 Attached photos are my plans for this evening and gift from Husband 💖 he knows I love Akabeko, so he found me this gatchapon one! With three heads! Akabeko is a traditional Japanese toy depicting a legendary red cow (that doesn't have three heads) from the Aizu region (Fukushima) Japan. It's cute and it's head bobbles! Any other May babies out there? Happy birthday to you too! 🥳🎉 Thanks for reading! #birthday #oh_no_japan #ohnojapan #japan #japanese #birthdaycake #birthdaygirl #itsmybirthday #happybirthday (at Hyōgo Prefecture) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPP5Y15FUfh/?utm_medium=tumblr

I've been with Husband now for a whole 11 years now, married for four. We didn't get this far without testing each other's patience a little... juuuuuust a teeny tiny bit.
Figuring out each other's boundaries has been a fun push and pull. Hugs? Yes! Play with my hair? Fine... I guess. Touch my feet? Don't you dare. Tickling? I'll murder you in your sleep. Push and pull.
One of husband pet peeves is when I steal his drink. Does it even count as a pet peeve if the annoyance is justified? Who knows.

#29 The Best Dogs.
It’s Hanami party time! Or it was, about two weeks ago. I feel the need to mention we were with a MUCH bigger group, but screw drawing more than 4 people at a time, am I right?
Anyways, the most important question of all time; what IS the best dog? The answer may shock you (it’s whatever dog is closest imo)
What doggos do you guys like? I personally think whippets are cute, also corgis because LITTLE FAT BUMS ❤️ Also, have you ever been to a Hanami party before? It’s one of my fave times of the year!
Thanks for reading, cheers!
