Six Facts About Myself

1. I accidentally became a fashion person? Tom and Lorenzo definitely started it, with their Mad Style posts, but then Vogue finished me with runway pictures.
2. I was super gay for Sasha Cohen in 2006??? The ice skater. I remembered the other day how much I loved her, and then realized that I didn’t even pretend to watch her routines. I just liked her face.
3. Related to the above, I cannot watch ice skating routines. I am always afraid they’re going to fall. Gymnastics are hard, but the lack of knives strapped to their feet makes it bearable. Second-hand nerves.
4. I have the worst poker face in the world. It’s almost impressively bad.
5. Also impressively bad: my accents. I was Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, and they just told me not to do it. The character makes zero sense without an Irish accent, but that was preferable to my garbage.
6. Not technically a fact about me, but my dad’s sister and my mom have the same first and middle names. Notice I say dad’s sister, not aunt. Because he hates her. And married someone with her exact name. (Additional fun fact: his mom got remarried. Her stepdaughter? Same first name.)
