                   𝐀𝐍𝐘  𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃  𝐍𝐎𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒  𝐎𝐑  𝐒𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍  𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒  𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐌  .   that’s  why  harvey  kinkle  tends  to  keep  to  himself  .   though  ,   he  often  finds  himself  in  situations  where  that  simply  isn’t  POSSIBLE  .   now  ,   for  example  ,  he  feels  a  sudden  chill  ,   as  though  he’s  being  watched  .   in  the  back  of  his  mind  ,   he  can  all  but  hear  the  dark  lord’s  voice  .   without  thinking  ,   he  reaches  out  ,  hand  clutching  the  arm  of  the  NEAREST  thing  .   it  just  so  happens  that  thing  is  a  person  .   an  awkward  chuckle  as  he  pulls  away  ,  shaking  his  head  .   how  can  he  talk  himself  out  of  this  one  ?   he’s  sure  the  fear  is  evident  in  his  eyes  ,   but  ...  “  sorry  .   i  ,   um  ,   lost  my  balance  .  ”   good  one  ,   harv  .

                   𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄  𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐒  𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐀  𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆  𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇  ,   chewing  haphazardly  on  her  pencap  .   she’s  frustrated  ,   and  it  shows  .   she  pushes  a  few  stray  hairs  off  her  face  and  stares  down  at  the  book  in  her  lap  .   this  story  isn’t  going  very  well  ,   and  if  she  wants  to  IMPRESS  ,   she  has  to  get  something  ...  anything  .   footsteps  pull  her  from  her  inner  monologue  ,  eyes  sparkling  with  what  can  only  be  HOPE  .   “  oh  ,  thank  god  .  hi  !   i’m  betty  cooper  ,   and  i’m  a  parttime  journalist  .   can  i  ask  you  a  few  questions  ?   i’m  kinda  desperate  at  this  point  ...  ”

                   𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐒  𝐈𝐒  𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓  𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒  𝐁𝐘  𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅  ,   nose  stuck  in  a  book  and  ignoring  the  real  world  .   however  ,   he  may  argue  about  the  TRUE  definition  of  reality  .   regardless  ,  that  is  how  one’ll  find  him  now  ,   walking  along  through  bad  brews  with  a  book  in  hand  .   it’s  quite  careless  of  him  ,  and  while  he  knows  that  ,   he  hardly  CARES  .   why  should  he  ?   perhaps  because  of  the  young  woman  he’s  nearly  whacked  with  the  thing  .   really  ,  she  came  out  of  NOWHERE  ,   and  his  initial  reaction  is  to  hold  the  book  up  as  means  of  defense  .   he  pauses  upon  realizing  she  isn’t a  threat  ,   lowering  the  novel  and  clearing  his  throat  .   “  you  really  shouldn’t  sneak  up  on  people  .  ”
