You had been rehearsing too many times to count. Yet no matter how much you tried none of the things you said sounded right. Books only told you that much and even the internet could make things seem so much easier than they were in real life. Meanwhile the sun was setting, the sky coloring a pinkish hue. You had dropped your items off at a open field away from the barn. Lapis wasn’t supposed to witness this iteration of embarrassment you had bestowed upon yourself. Everything was supposed to be just right and you couldn’t afford her seeing it yet. Not like this. Not the date.
So you asked Pearl to rehearse with you. A game of pretend you had taken far too serious. Continuously making sure everything was p e r f e c t. To the position of the chairs, to the cloth on the table, even the flower in can you had so professional put together just for the occasion. ----------------- WHY WAS IT TAKING HER SO LONG?! A thought that was profoundly displayed through a series of highly irritated noises.
However your impatience was quickly answered by a Pearl showing up in the middle of the field. Holding the note you send to her for coordination. Of course she would understand. ‘ PEARL! ’ You yell at her, waving your hand in the air in the distance. ‘ Over here! ’ You sounded from afar.

the strawberry battlefield... it was a tragically beautiful place. rosie did her best during the war to avoid the fighting, focused primarily on not being captured.. but she could remember this place faintly. she hadn’t intended to come back here and she sighed, running her fingers along one of the giant strawberries, her lips pursing slowly.
“...i shouldn’t be here..”
turning, rosie began to walk briskly in the way that she’d arrived, and as she passed the warp pad on her attempt to leave (she didn’t like to use the warps... just in case), she couldn’t help but freeze; her feet suddenly refusing to move a single step more as light rose up from the flat crystal. a figure stepped out of the stream, and she could only stare with wide-eyes, looking like a deer who was caught in the headlights, her mouth hanging open slightly.

work . the answer to both is work . going into missions , provided he hasn’t taken up an all - nighter , tend to get the adrenaline rolling , to give energy for upcoming fights , but some missions , especially those that are non - standard , also take the most out of him .
33. how do they learn about the world --- what is their preferred learning style ?? hands - on learning with trial & error ?? research , reading , & note - taking ?? observation or rote memorization ?? inductive or deductive reasoning ?? seeking patterns & organization ?? taking things apart & putting them back together ?? creative processing via discussing , writing about , or dramatizing things ??
for the most part , research , reading , & note - taking are the go - to methods , though , if the subject of interest is related to fighting , he’ll take hands - on learning with trial & error . while he can learn through observation , he prefers rote memorization , as it’s the most solid way of learning for him . on topic of observation , when it comes to more technical things , his first action is to seek repetition , patterns , anything he recognizes & apply both inductive & deductive reasoning from there . he often practices taking things apart & putting them back together as rote memorization to learn or train understanding of how the technicalities work . creative discussions of any sorts are a rarity at best , mostly due to lack of compatible conversational partners , but , in the event that they’re possible , he prefers discussion .
