Hot take, OJ should be a worse person
Folks are coming out and saying ‘oh oj’s abusive’ when he’s just trusting of his boyfriend. Nah. Make him lowkey manipulative. Not in a super crazy way, definitely nothing physical. Not even out of malice, just cuz he doesn’t really think about how Paper feels or how his words might affect him. Just little comments, little things he pushes paper away from doing because it makes OJ uncomfortable, little ways he asks paper to stop doing soemthing by pushing him down. Because the one scene near the end of Season 2 during HOJP where they get into that argument was the most invested I have ever been in PayJay.
(Also the first thing was kinda an attention grabber… ‘worse person’ maybe not. ‘Worse boyfriend’ probably fits better, I still want him to be a chill dude, but I want him to be imperfect. I want him to fuck up. I want a complex conflict built between already established characters, not some random new character showing up for the sole purpose of pushing another character’s narrative. Like someone else I could mention. 🧲 Not naming names.)
