God it's so sad to see how the media collective booed and ridiculed them for this "abstinence pledge" the took as young kids who were a part of a very large church, and that wasn't even really who they were but adults mocked them for it anyway.
I remember them getting mocked and I remember thinking, "why is that a huge deal", and looking at it now and seeing how genuinely horribly they were berated, it breaks my heart.
They got booed for just existing. People would make fun of ME for being obsessed with "untalented virgins". And then in turn people assumed I was remakning a virgin to be like them and I got tormented for being so stupid as to follow the example of "the dumbest band ever". Reaklg did wonders fod my self confidence and still affects me today. It was just an awful time and they didn't deserve it, and I wish that the world didn't automatically show this intense hatred for the boy band stereotype.
