Finding her way to her new apartment wasn’t going as well as she had originally expected. At first she had planned to take a bus, but those apparently wouldn’t be willing to take her to another ‘Sector.’
Then there was the part where she had no idea what road she should even be asking for directions for... She was guessing that she lived in Sector 3, but she wouldn’t know for sure until she got there... Whoever had brought her here, those self-proclaimed scientists, clearly got their kicks from being confusing.
She had been wandering around Sector 1 aimlessly when she saw a white lab coat farther down the street from her. She scowled, thinking that possibly this might be one of the people who had dragged her into this place.
She clenched her fists before marching towards the suspicious figure, but the closer she came to the man... The more her hostility vanished.... First, she recognized his hair - messy black strands that were kept short. Then there was his figure - lean but with a fairly tall frame.
If it hadn’t been for the labcoat, she would have never picked him out from all of the other people on the busy city street. But because of that one piece of clothing, she had begun to march towards him. Because of that, she came close enough to realize that he might not be a stranger...
“Excuse me---”
Because of that one butterfly flapping its wings, she would have never caught up with the man, nor raised her voice, nor reached out to cautiously grab ahold of his elbow and stopped him from moving away from her forever.
She just needed to see his face... Then she would know for sure...
