" just... five more minutes. "
Send me 'five more minutes' to see how my character would wake yours up
The coffee shop was crowded. Actually, the coffee shop had been crowded. It was almost closing time, and Annie had gotten lost in the book she had been reading, unaware of the hours that had passed. But thankfully her eyes found the last words on the last page, and, with a grateful sigh, she closed the novel and took time to deliver a long and gratuitous yawn.
Glancing around, she realized that there were only a handful of people still there, most of whom were gathering their things. There was one girl, however, who was staying put. In fact, her face was in her arms, and the rhythmic rise and fall of her back gave the impression that she was asleep.
A furtive dash of sea green eyes in every direction to see if anyone was going to wake the girl up, and when it seemed as though no one had noticed, Annie got up and walked over. Biting her lip, she tentatively tapped the girl on the shoulder. There was a mumbled response, and Annie nudged a little harder. If she was the one who was asleep, she wouldn’t want to be left alone until she was awake.
”Miss? They’re about to close… I think maybe you might want to wake up?”
