i can’t believe it took me two years to come out to my shrink and even now the only reason i even brought it up was because president trundlebump… i have literally talked to her about more personal things than i have anyone else on this planet but somehow this just never came up??? but anyways that happened. okay cool. she was very cool about it.

and also v cool with me talking about nontraditional relationships and basically polyamorous non-romantic relationships (i.e. friends with benefits but like… in a healthy supportive mutually agreed upon way) which… coming from a very soft-spoken middle-aged white lady that was kind of a nice surprise? she was very encouraging of that and was happy that there was something that could work for me and she had literally no qualms about it at all (like I think she was the one who brought up the idea actually? and i was like yes exactly! holy shit i did not expect you to be okay with this!!). plus she’s v much on board with the aro thing even if we don’t label it that, though that is less surprising because that’s all tied into the other stuff we talk about regularly wrt my inability and lack of desire to form emotionally intimate long-term bonds with people, and she’s always known that’s what i was like even without the gay part
