He knew many shapes, but you had only ever met two.

And there was also the man in black. Black hair, black leather jacket, leaning against a deep red sports car. He was always smoking when you stumbled out of the door, tired after work. One time, when the wind had stolen a letter from your hands, he had caught it for you. You could smell iron and cigarettes when he returned it. He chuckled when he saw how you scrunched up your face in disgust.

There was Okiya Subaru, a doctorate student who you met up with in the library. Always right there when you couldn't reach a book, always catching you when you tripped. Blonde hair falling in gentle waves, a smile friendly and good-natured. Liked by everyone on campus - students, teachers and cleaning staff alike. What a nice, nice man. When he led you to a table near the window, you noticed he smelled like the autumn breeze; like the cake he had bought for you two to eat during the study session; a heavy scent of bourbon when his breath brushed your skin.

"Don't like 'em?" twirling the cigarette between long fingers. Then, he drew you in closer by the waist.

You bit your lips, swearing that the bronze sheen of bourbon still clung to the man's lips. His green eyes flashed and he reached for your cheek, tilting your head to meet his gaze. Sharp, sharp teeth. He trailed cold fingers down your neck. Shiver, and frost and him, him, him. And no pain when he kissed you; no pain when teeth sunk into your neck deep; only him. Nothing else. What a fulfilling emptiness.

The next day, nice Subaru waited again at the library, gaze heavy on the imprints on your neck. "Did you get home safe?" Your cheeks heated and he chuckled, bourbon breath against your ear. "Right, we both know you did."

i dont know why but i can totally imagen shuichi waking up, late at night because he's a light sleeper and his lover moves around a lot in sleep. just imagen him, he suddenly wakes up because you're kicking him after you tried turning to the side in youre sleep, and then he just grabes your leg and puts you back into the right position so he can continue to sleep. he always tried to tease you with this but you just end up apologizing over and over again because you feel bad for waking him up when he already can't sleep well .

Thinking of getting together with older bf!Akai, but knowing he's not looking to settle down and have children with you. And so you are fine when he only responds with a kiss to your "I love you", and you're happy with just indulging in the way he makes you feel. (You two sitting together on the bed. His arm lazily thrown over your shoulder while you read and he works. His fingertips tracing your spine so gently you doze away far too soon. A soft kiss pressed to the crown of your head before taking the book out of your hands and closing his laptop to draw you into his arms and finally fall asleep.)

You don't need all the money he sends you when he's away for work, so you put some of it into your savings account. Already with the rest you don't have to work 10, let alone 20 hours per week anymore. You can completely focus on studying and internships - gaining experience to build up your future. You're using all the tools at your disposal to prepare as much as possible, so you can stand on your own two feet when the time comes.

But it doesn't. And really, how are you surprised about that? When he sees that cute, shy girl grow into a woman evidently able to handle life by herself - still cute and shy but...matured, somehow - something changes in him.

You're standing your ground, breaking up with him, knowing this phase of your life is over. It hits him unexpectedly, the growth you've gone through without him even noticing. Or maybe he had underestimated your strength from the start.

This time he says it first, revelling in your heated skin and widened eyes as he leans down for a kiss.

A proud grin plays on his lips. You may not need him, but you're still his sweet little girl after all.
