Character

Okraa means soul. In ancient Egypt, Ka meant soul or spirit. These are the root words of CHA-RACTER.

Character, you are born with it. It is the way you think, they way you behave. The way you view the world. The way you solve problems. Your dreams, your goals, you purpose in life.

You judge people on their character. You build relationships based on character. You build friendship based on character. Families, on character.

But Massa have you thinking, the colour of one skin is a pointer, the colour of their eyes, how their hair looks, how much money one has. How popular one is.

Massa have you thinking on a lower level consciousness. So far as we keep dabbling in lower level consciousness, Massa will never be perturb on his cigar breaks.

Every year for 11 or 12 years I've played & worked at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival held at the Castle of Muskogee. I've played a villager, a wench, and a scoundrel. Larceny has been my favorite of the three. This year has been full of laughter, fun, new memories&friendships, and a rebirth of the joy once felt. There of course were bumps, but there is with every performance; especially in a group of actors. If you've never gone, I actually do recommend it. Its every year, held every weekend in May (along with the final weekend of April and first weekend of June). Visit and feel the magic, who knows you might even hop the fence and join me on the other side.

I love seeing character development and transitions within hobbies. Mine happens to be the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Starting aa the villager Rayven McClyde Moving onto several years as Larceny the scoundrel; who had shifts of her own during those years Then briefly being the wench Heidi Ho Now back to Larceny a rogue, a spy, and assassin I've loved all the years. Sometimes I miss a character, and sometimes I miss certain costuming. I dont think I'll ever tire of this hobby
