Sunset was pretty nice tonight.
Well. This monster came out of nowhere. Naturally, I didn't have my wide angle with me. I stood up on my perch in my work clothes, got wet from the rain, pinged by tiny hail, and between tornado warnings, I sat in my car and got my computer work done.
I had a feeling the sunset wouldn't be terrible this evening.
Do you see the witch hat? Appropriate for an October storm (Oct 4, 23).
June's been angry this year.
Storm spotters.
It's almost a compulsion I have to head up to the memorial this time of year to grab this particular shot. I was telling a coworker today that I need a new "henge" challenge. At any rate, this isn't quite perfect--the "perfect" shot is a couple of days away by my calculation, but the sky was pretty dynamic this evening. The composition drove me a bit batty in post, and I tried entirely too many crops. I finally went with my first one (isn't that the way it almost always plays out?)
