Super Arts (Combo Breaker) - Tsunami Works Debut!

This is the event where my partner ( notarkayne ) and I sold prints and on the spot sketches under our studio name, Tsunami Works. While there, we were approached for an interview and talked about the event.

Our studio currently freelances in concept art, illustration, cartooning, sequential art and digital painting. We may be small at this stage, but we’re two passionate artists eager to jump in and do what we gotta do to make projects happen. We will be traveling to more events down the road, and who knows, we might appear at some major conventions! Follow our journey on Facebook and Twitter!

Last time I was on camera, I was in junior high and told my local news station that I keep warm in zero degree weather by wearing spandex under blue jeans.

According to our description, Old Abbot is “a commercial and philanthropic production company with the purpose of compellingly and effectually crafting new media in the era of Digital Film and Internet Television."

But, what does that mean?

Old Abbot creates media that fulfill different needs, such as brand development and  event coverage.

Mall Brawl

This was the first mall-wide tournament sponsored by Games N’ Go, a local video game store at Rosedale Mall.

EatiplyTM is a meal-for-meal donation project. If a restaurant is supported by EatiplyTM, then every time a customer dines at that establishment, a meal is donated to someone in need.

Date For Life

Date For Life was a charity event that raised over $59,000 for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. The event features on auction where people bid on dates with local celebrities.

 Red Bull Flugtag 2010

Flugtag is an event where amateur aircraft designers launch their machines. This Flugtag was COOs Brian and Jon’s first joint venture as Old Abbot. The event was filmed in front of 90,000 people and featured the world record for longest flight.

Old Abbot and Media Storm teamed up to do a 48 hour film project. Since forming Old Abbot, Brian and Jon have gone on to participate in six more film races.

Instead of only filming the wedding ceremony, Old Abbot follows the bride and groom through each part of the wedding day, from pre-ceremony pictures to the reception dances.
