The ramblings of an ever suffering but ever optimistic follower of English cricket.
And whilst I’m thinking of Rashid Khan, let’s think of the World Cup qualifier and the fact we apparently need one because we ‘need’ a ten team World Cup to have the best competition possible. I wrote this two years ago, and I wrote something similar a year before that.
Whilst we’re being angry with the cricket, please be angry about this too. Be angry that countries can miss their biggest moments through fine margins and D/L calculations. Be angry that some excellent, competitive ODI cricket can be discarded by the ICC because those countries aren’t ‘important’, the cricket they play isn’t ‘important’ enough.
Associates deserve better.
