How does Pam deal with Aiden's lack of emotions?
With total mockery.
No, but really… It’s actually surprisingly easy. You would think otherwise, and on an out of character level I still laugh reeeally hard that the sociopath hooked up with the most over-emotional toon I have.
For one, Pam’s not really the wine and dine type. I think a lot of people (at least, the ones I keep running into in-game) misconstrue that based on her appearance alone, but it’s just not her thing. Flowers are nice and all, but they die just like everything else, and she spent most of her life surrounded by a plethora of roses growing up in House D’athion. Needless to say, she’s not expecting or wanting of big romantic gestures. Or little ones, for that matter.
While it’s strange not to hear his affections voiced (because, let’s face it, that’s an act she’s very, very used to), she’s finding more and more than it’s not necessary. There are other ways that Aiden shows how he feels (or doesn’t feel? The wording gets a little sketchy here, but you understand what I mean) that fully replace the need to hear any of it. Little things from doctoring her busted up ribs, to his reactions to some of the outside influences on her, to..uh. Other stuff that should go on the NSFW blog.
It works, though. After all, and she should know this best, talk is cheap.

Pamina turned to magic-sharing with someone who’s a tad addicted to her brand of power. Things sort of spiraled after that. In a good way, of course.
