Oblivion is a kind of mercy. In the end, even the cemetery forgets that it is a cemetery, and just looks like an open field // photos from a trip to the cemetery, which in the near future will disappear under the onslaught of time and Nature

I took this years ago so my memory is foggy on the details, but I do recall that it's the grave of a young girl whose parents loved her dearly enough to have this beautiful marker custom made. I don't remember if it's late 1800s or very early 1900s.
