This just got me thinking. If we are Qenna route, if we ever get down to um sexy time. 😏 what would be going through the demon head bc they are, in a way, part of it 😬

M!Qenna sometimes has hookups, but only with people he doesn't know because then Old Narmer simply doesn't care, and just occupies himself inside Qenna's mind, doing whatever he usually does to pass the time.

With MC though... it's going to be a lot worse. Because yeah, the old guy will be there. And he will see it. And he knows you. And he might even come out once or twice because ever since Giza, Qenna cannot completely suppress him anymore.

So yes, Old Narmer will be the same strange, insane dude he usually is. But if you build a good reputation with him, he won't cause a lot of trouble.

He's insane now, but he wasn't always like that. He used to have a wife, a lover, and children... He was a rather fine man. That man is still there somewhere, deep, deep inside him (very deep). And that man is aware that he's an awkward third-wheel in a relationship that he has nothing to do with.

Old Narmer is the first king, isn't he? Between the tale of the Weeping Gods (which explains his connection to Petmes) and the way Qenna stares at the remenants of the statue of the first king I've definitely been assuming that this entire time, anyway 😅

Perfect answers! Yes, the old man has been there everywhere in the entire story. He was the first king of Egypt, the man who unified Upper and Lower Egypt into one country, one of the few characters in the game who are real historical figures.

He is also the king in the Weeping Gods tale. Petmes made the crystals for him. The Narmer name is still popular because of him, and our human Narmer was named after him by his parents. You can even wield his sword in the game!

It indeed seems like destiny that Narmer the younger ended up doing the same feat 1500 years later, reunifying Egypt from under the Hyksos rule.

Old Narmer used to be somebody. The greatest, most respected somebody in all of Egypt, even 1500 years later. Which makes his current situation all the more tragic.

Ashur was Petmes’s old name from before he came to Egypt. The demon, when he was alive, knew him as Ashur, so that’s why he still calls him that. Ibarum calls him Ashur as well. The demon’s wife was a woman called Neithhotep, but MC reminds him of both her and Petmes :D

Will there be a way to tame Qenna's demon or bring him back to his senses or is he going to stay like that forever ? Please don't answer if it's going to be brought up in the future in the game so as not to spoil !

There is a way to make the demon harder or easier to handle by how you treat him. You can see that already in chapter 5! Unfortunately, MC can’t do miracles. So, no, he will not come back to his senses during MC's life. He will not stay like that forever though... But that's a question for later :)

I'm assuming the demon knows that he could just, free himself with a stab in the head, since Qenna knows, so why doesn't he do it? does he have a reason to let them live?

What an excellent question! It has a very complex answer.

Attempting to do this would imply that the demon does things logically, but he doesn’t. Or at least not in a way you would think. He’s more driven by raw, animalistic instinct than anything else, and he would need an absolute lack of self-preservation to attempt to stab himself in the head. He considers Qenna’s body his own as well. It feels like his own body, even when Qenna controls it.

Qenna and the demon are also in a near constant battle. Old Narmer spent a long time raging until Qenna was able to suppress him, but they did suppress him. Qenna’s soul is strong and they really don’t want to die. If Old Narmer tried to stab them, Qenna would instinctively wake up and stop him, but Old Narmer has never tried it.

The second reason is the demon’s healing ability. I think Qenna has mentioned somewhere in the game that they aren’t sure how the demon’s healing works, if he’s healing Qenna on purpose or not.

Most of the time, the healing is unintentional. The demon’s magic, simply by being present and being incredibly strong, heals Qenna back from whatever ails them at the moment.

Still, if someone were to attack them, chaos would always follow. Old Narmer has lost all logic and common sense. If someone attacks him, he will fight back, no matter what, and his healing would kick in too. One stab might not be enough. This is why Qenna only trusts Narmer with the knife. Because he is fast, and he’s the best fighter around, so if things get out of hand, Narmer has the best chance to put the demon down, but even then, it’s not as simple as stabbing once.

It’s possible that the demon would accidentally kill Narmer before he could end him. Qenna’s cooperation is very much needed in order to succeed, and deep down, Qenna is very afraid of dying.

This is why Old Narmer is so angry at Qenna. Because Qenna just won’t stop fighting him. He wants to end it, but he needs Qenna to finally give up.

Also I expected demon narmer to be unhinged but he definitely surpassed all expectations in the worst ways possible.

I'm even more surprised by mc who saw all the horrific shit he did and just decided to... domesticate him? 😭

That’s the sad thing about Old Narmer. He was a normal, domesticated, potty-trained man with absolutely mundane dietary cravings when he was alive.

...And then Qenna happened.

I wonder how Quenna's demon and the gang would react if Seth used priest MC as a temporary vessel and beat the demon out off Quenna before leaving priest MC's body.

I think this has been mentioned in the game if you play a captain or a priest, but during possessions, there is no way to save the host. Qenna’s chest wound is the place where the demon was summoned in, and that wound is only held together by Old Narmer’s magic.

If the demon gets exorcised, Qenna will instantly die. If it was as simple as to banish him, Petmes would've done it already.

Qenna and Old Narmer are a package deal, I’m afraid, and there is no way around it.
