While yes, some late term abortions happen because the people getting them couldn't obtain them sooner, or didn't know they were pregnant before hand. There are a LOT of barriers toward getting an abortion and that tends to affect lower income people the most. Although, I have noticed that every conservative tends to point at the Guttmacher's report on late term abortion and that they state that "58% of those who get a late term abortion were because they faced barriers to get one" if you look at their citation it was from 2008. 14 years ago. A lot changes in 10 years let alone 14! You would need more recent data. Academically speaking, you shouldn't be using a source that is older than 10 years old. Not unless you are looking into the history of it. Hell, it's even worse because Guttmacher actually cited the date wrong. It was published in 2006, and the data was from 2004! You can get the paper that isn't paywalled here:

Timing of steps and reasons for delays in obtaining abortions in the United States

If you actually LOOK at the data, they don't even INCLUDE 3rd term abortions, but 1st and 2nd. 2nd trimester is 13-26 weeks. Third term isn't even until 27 weeks. Yet "late term" is often described as "20/21 weeks or later.
As you can see the majority of the abortions are done before 20 weeks. From 20-26 weeks which would be the "late term abortions" that are being included in that study... it makes up only 1.51% in the above chart. So of the second week trimester is only about 12.51%. So perhaps only 9.7% of the women that were in that study for the second trimester. Which means out of the 145 2nd term women only 14 of them would have been "late abortion". 15% of the women they asked were in their 2nd term compared to 12% of in reality. So they even OVER compensated a bit there. Therefore, saying that "58% of women who get late term abortions" is actually misinterpreting the entire study because they are saying that regarding the TOTAL of women asked. Also, it's important to note that this isn't even talking about WHY they got an abortion. It's talking about if they wish that they could have gotten an abortion SOONER and why there were DELAYS.
The actual info on reasons for abortions is here:
There you can find this:
Ok, that DOES have weeks pregnant. But that's >13 weeks. Late term abortions account for what I can assume to be roughly 11.5% of the ones listed under >13 weeks. Elsewhere they stated that the >13 constituted for about 15% of the study of the ones questioned. So we can likely assume that roughly 159 of them aborted at or later than 13 weeks. Now, 11.5% of 159 would be about 18 people. If 21% of the ones that aborted at 13 weeks or more due to fetal health, and 10% of them aborted due to personal health.. that would be about 33 of them who aborted for fetal health, and about 16 who aborted for personal health. If only 18 of the 159 people had a late term abortion, and 49 of the 159 people had done so for medical reasons, I think it could be safe to assume that all of the 18 women surveyed were due to medical reasons.
So the claim that most late term abortions that I have been seeing mulling about from prolifers has no merit by their OWN cited sources.
Feb 10: 3-Value Skyfall, still one of my favourites for lighting, colour, frame composition, and Being A James Bond Movie. FUN FACT, I did a full study of that first scene (slightly different timestamp based on the head angle) back in... geez, 2012 apparently, I didn’t realize it’d even been out that long. Posted below. It took like 3 days and I was so proud of it at the time but now I see a whole lot I’d do different... which is good! If I couldn’t see anything I wanted to change in something I painted in 2012 I would probably cry.
