Also the guide has been changed slightly; most importantly I modified the event drop boosters section because it seems like from now on they’ll be using specific characters/units instead of specific skills.

“Seasonal Events 4 N00B5″ New Christmas 2018 Addendum
You may have noticed that there are no skills at all in the item boost rate lists. That’s because for this event, you only need the character in your party to boost the drop amount rate.
During the Main Story Quests, there may be restrictions on your team composition, including but not limited to locked team setups and adding “Guest” characters.
How do you get the romance/love quests? Do you have to finish the character quest first, or is it something else altogether?

As of Feb 2019, the only characters with Love Quests are:
Protagonist/MC
Shiro
Kengo
Ryota
The following requirements have to be met to unlock them:
Limit Break any unit of the character to LB3.
Complete both of the respective character quests (except for MC)
When you unlock a Love Quest:
MC’s Love Quest has no story at all, only a battle. It’s basically there to officially designate your love to your husbando/waifu lol
Non-MC characters have a story with their date for their Love Quest.
When you do the quest, the leader of your party will be the one who the quest character will fall in love with. For example, when I did MC’s quest, I made Taurus Mask the leader of the party and that was who MC fell in love with:
When you start the Love Quest, it will ask you for confirmation if you want to start the quest between the two characters involved.
The game asks you for confirmation because once the quest is successfully complete, the resulting relationship can only be reversed using the Forget-Me-Not item. This item has only been available during select special events.
As for in-game benefits, the only one so far is for the Affinity Burst mechanic.

Please note that the upcoming Christmas Rerun Event does not include Main Quests and Challenge Quests so you don't need to worry about those parts.
The Special Quests reruns work the same way as before: You need to complete the whole event story in Past Events to unlock the special quests. In this case, you need to complete「誕生！聖夜のNEWヒーロー？」to unlock that event’s special quests.
What is the new support team for in the new update?
BEFORE: Your support unit was determined by the last team leader you used.
NOW: You can set up your own support team and have control over what supports your friends can use! It’s pretty easy to set up and the slots are self explanatory by element (FREE is anything you want, 特殊 is the All / Shadow / Hero elements)
When you go to your friends list you can filter it by a specific team slot and view your friend’s entire support team with the Details button:
