Week 52: Older Reader Week

This week we’re celebrating our older Army! Whether it’s a college au where the freshman fratboy won’t leave you alone or maybe an au where the reader is CEO and one of the boys is their younger assistant or maybe something with a noona/hyung kink or a sugar mommy/daddy fic where you spoils the boys. Or maybe something sweeter where you’re an older sibling or mentor to one of the boys. We want to see and celebrate them all!

Criteria for recommendations:

Can be NSFW or SFW

Must feature a reader; either romantically or platonically

Reader must be older than at least one member that is the focus of the fic

Reader can be any gender

For older reader week I'd also like to rec hobidream's moonlit throne! I've been dying to rec mlt and this is the perfect chance! It's a historical au ft king yoongi inspired by the daechita mv. Reader is 2 years older and a palace doctor! I love the way Rain has arranged the drabbles to give you a unique timeline for background to her characters and a sense of mystery. When you read mlt it reads like a joseon era kdrama (with smut) haha give it a chance, you won't regret is!

To fill in for the anon who recommended Ego: it’s a fuckboy/fratboy!au strangers to lovers fic where our jungkookie seems very innocent to OC at first but then comes on VERY strong. OC likes JK for his sweet personality and JK is super soft for OC underneath the shameless flirting. The fic is very well written and the pacing across the installments is very well done, cliffhangers and all. suga-kookiemonster is an excellent author who creates wonderfully nuanced characterizations of OC and JK!

hi, I’d like to recommend Blizzard by curly-bangtan for week 52! mc isn’t a whole lot older than JK but it still counts 🥰 I’m absolutely in love with his character like he’s sooo cute & adorable & shy, yet so attentive & considerate all at the same time 🥺 I also like the way mc gradually develops her crush on him because who wouldn’t lmao even with a word count of 10k, it’s so well-written. I really like the setting with the whole blizzard going on (though, wouldn’t wish for that irl)

& I can almost feel how cold it is but then the smut kicks in & it’s like the complete opposite oof 🔥 but even then, JK is still soft & such a good boy & a gentleman, I just really love how he’s written 🥺🥰

For older reader week, I'd like to recommend johobi's when you least expect it. It is a beautiful blend of f2l, s2l, love triangle au. The way she writes mc's pining and anguish is top tier. Pls do yourself a favor and read wylei, it'll hurt... But you'll be happy about it? Hahah be prepared to be blown away by the characterization of tae and jk. You won't be able to choose between them! Fair warning tho... The smut is 🥵🥵🥵

Heyy for the older reader masterlist this week id like to recommend Will You Make a Mess Now? by softyoongiionly. Jungkook and y/n are a very cute couple, and y/n is such an understanding person. They're taking things slow, he calls y/n noona which i think is adorable and the writing is soo on point. You can also see the part2 of it- Can I Make a Mess now?

One more I would like to please recommend for this week: Ego by suga-kookiemonster. This fic is what I like to call a God Tier™️ fic. Ashley’s writing style and voice is strong and truly spectacular, and her humor is a highlight, always shining through. Seriously, the humor is next level. Not to mention, I’m a big fan of the slow(ish?) burn and the headass-ery (I say with love). I’m also fond of the author’s characterizations, both of y/n and BTS.

+ The story is entertaining AND addicting AND just well written. I recommend reading and then rereading again and again on a semi-regular basis (really, it’s THAT good!!)
