What a few weeks of emergency hospital stays we’ve had at Blackberry Creek! Yesterday it was Statler who fell during the night and did damage to his shoulder. Our wonderful animal caretaker, Giya, met with the emergency on-call vet and then drove him to the horse hospital to have an ultrasound and X-ray done to check for bone fractures and tissue damage. He’s also undergoing bloodwork to rule out any existing conditions that may have led to the fall since he is thirty years old this summer!
