To some barricading themselves in might have seemed like the easy way out or perhaps even the coward’s answer to the situation that they had found themselves in. But to him it had seemed like the only logical option. He was no slouch when it came to violence, he’d earned his place as consigliere through his hard work in the ranks as much as through his strategy and charm. The hours had been put in and the crimes committed but even with his confidence in his own skill, he had no knowledge of anyone else’s in the room. Even someone with considerable prowess wouldn’t have been able to fight for four against any assailants and so their chances were infinitely better if they simply avoided conflict altogether. He’d make himself useful in the aftermath and personally ensure that whoever was responsible was held accountable. ( his pride was still smarting at the knowledge that Lannister men had been used without his knowledge )
His eyes had adjusted to the dark but even then there was no light to be found when they were underground. So instead his lighter was pulled out once more to showcase their handiwork and point out the seats that he’d left as part of the blockade but the seat still visible. “With any luck that should hold for as long as we need it to. I did leave some chairs free if anyone wants to take the weight off their feet.” They could be there a while.
