✪ The beginning of oleana and roses’ friendship!!!

I like to think that they met during the Very Early Days of Macro Cosmos. Rose needed a secretary and he met a woman who had just been fired and he’s like “can you use a typewriter? yes? no? you can learn, you’re hired”. Oleana was determined to become the Best Secretary she can to help Rose who had helped her during her time of need. Which she eventually succeeds in, to the extent that Rose started getting a bit lax about appointments and such because he knows that Oleana will remind him about them and make sure he’s on time (which we see in Hulbury!)

Oleana is intensely loyal to Rose, but I think it also goes both ways. There’s a running joke between them where Oleana does like, a minor thing that makes Rose’s life easier and Rose’s like “that’s my Oleana! I’m giving you a raise!” It has happened so often that if he actually gave her a raise for every time he said that, she’d legit make more money than he does.

They’ve been working together for so long that both can’t imagine life without the other.

“… Is this… Your way of asking for a raise, Oleana?” He’s confused. What Is Going On.

Valentines Day was never anything special to Oleana, the woman preferring just to spend it working. This year, however... she actually made the effort to get a present for her beloved boss. As soon as she saw him today, she presented him with a box-- it contains a cologne scented with hints of roses. "Good Morning, sir ... Happy Valentines Day." She would say before offering a small, chaste kiss to his cheek.

“Oh, Oleana...” Rose chuckled softly, taking the box into his hands with a thankful nod. “Thank you so much! I really appreciate it...”

“I must confess... I was waiting to give you your present until the end of the day, but...”

He reached into his pocket, pulling out what seemed to be a fairly sizable jewelry box. He opened it with a soft smile, revealing two hexagonal earrings made out of solid black gold.

“Here you are, Oleana... Thank you for ten excellent years of service. Macro Cosmos truly wouldn’t be what it is today without your hard work, innovative mind, and attention to detail. Here’s to many more.”

Oleana is a huge comfort to him while he’s locked up and pretty much the only canon character I can see who would bother keeping in contact with him afterwards. 

He’d absolutely have her named new CEO of Macro Cosmos, because she’s the only person he trusts who has both the knowledge and Galar’s best interest in mind. And while she’s visiting him, she can give him little updates about the region that she knows will make him happy, like about the newly branded Battle Tower and how her community service efforts are going.
