i wrote that talking about contraception in sex ed shouldn’t be heteronormative and my thesis mentor wrote back “please tell me what is the role of contraception in non-hetero relations? and what is it for if not for stopping unwanted pregnancies?” like she got me and...
like... i mean... ya need all sorts of protection dude... you’re an older woman, you should maybe know this... like if ya had an std that could be transferred... say... from yer genitals to yer partner’s mouth... ya better have yer partner use a dental dam on you before going down on u or smth... also... gloves are a thing that can be used too... and like... idk what to tell you man ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tracey Ullman, Matthew Macfadyen, and Hayley Atwell at an event for Howards End (2017) (x)
did you guys know queer geography is a thing? it deals with “the critical role of place and space in the production of sexual identities, practices, communities, subjectivities, and embodiments, and the scholarship of queer space includes its location, nature, and definition, its history, memories, events, and subcultures, and the relationship between space and social justice”
i sure didn’t know that??? it’s a branch of sexuality and space studies, which is a branch of human geography. hUMAN GEOGRAPHY!!!
geography, turns out, is way more interesting than just having to memorize and find rivers and mountains
today i ran into my elderly neighbor and we talked a bit and when i said goodbye she said "alright bye, i hope you’re happy, healthy and fat" and i was reborn
I felt v pretty the other day, so there.
