"Another summer officially over, another end of summer mix for y'all. Being born in the late 80s I somewhat missed the surge of the classic boogie and funk that came out back then. I always preferred hip hop and jazz- but I wanted to hear something more. With opening my ears up I heard a sound that was too hard to ignore. Today there are many great artists that are continuing the boogie and funk and they are all on point. I have not been hooked on a kind of music in a long time. Although I still have a lot to learn of this timeless music from back then to now, I hope this mix will get you to appreciate where funk and boogie is going. Be free and easy with Summer Mind (2014).
