Перед отъездом решила пополнить свои запасы косметики, а то всё позаканчивалось. Очень хочется попробовать арома масла, набор для волос и соль для ванны. Патчи крутые, уже юзаю.

I have been misled...
While reviewing some of my older blog posts, I realized that my post about the Oliology coconut oil curl cream, which I was very excited about at the time, may have been (unintentionally, of course) false. The cruelty free label on the bottle, which I was so eager to believe, is from not one of the 3 official trustworthy cruelty free sources (read more here: http://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/cruelty-free-101/cruelty-free-bunny-logo/).
Instead it has a very encouraging and heartening picture of a bunny with a heart in the middle of its face, and the letters JB on its ears (standing for Jocott Brands). I looked for both Oliology and Jocott Brands on the leaping bunny website, but neither of them showed up on the list of approved cruelty-free products. This was strike 2.
Then I looked up the Jocott Brands website and was unable to find anything about animal testing, or a lack thereof.
The product is made in the US and not China, so we know there is not mandated testing on animals. However all the clues lead to Oliology products, which I was so excited about, using animal testing (if not in their final product, then in the ingredients).
While I am disappointed in both this brand for apparently being dishonest, and in myself for being tricked, I am trying to see the bright side of this situation. There are plenty of real cruelty free hair products for me to find. Now I’m just even more motivated to find them :)

Check out the surplus of cruelty free Oliology products I found at TJMaxx!! Not too expensive, and I can attest that they are great quality!
TJMaxx is a great place to look for cruelty free cosmetics and toiletries, and they tend to be cheap there too! They have a great selection of products that are also organic and free trade. The only thing is it’s not always guaranteed that a product will be there for very long, and they often switch up the inventory. Something you see there one week might not be there the next.
When looking for cruelty free products at TJMaxx, I would recommend going in with an open mind, not with a specific product in mind. That way you’re more likely to be pleasantly surprised by a product you weren’t expecting than to be disappointed by the absence of a product you were hoping for.

Coconut Oil Curl Cream by Oliology:
I bought this product about 6 months ago from CVS and I love it for a lot of reasons!
1. It’s not hard to find! I found it I’m CVS, and I’m pretty sure they had it at TJMaxx for a while as well.
2. It’s not too expensive! Often times high quality products that don’t test on animals can be expensive. But if my memory serves, I spent at most $15 on this, and it has lasted for 6 MONTHS!! I wouldn’t want to spend that much on a product that wouldn’t last, but 6 months is a long time for something like this! My hair is fairly thick, but it still don’t need to use much of this product for it to work. I just take 1-2 squirts of the stuff and that’s all it takes! Because of that, I have only spent about an average of $2.50 a month for this product.
3. It makes my hair soft, defines my curls, and keeps frizz to a minimum, all without making my hair too greasy. *One thing to note is that my hair isn’t very “kinky.” It’s VERY frizzy, but by some people’s standards my curls are loose. Because of this, I don’t know how well this product would work for someone with much kinkier hair than me*
4. NO ANIMAL TESTING!!
