tumblr user: olivertheoblivion has caused significant emotional turmoil to a good handful of people through discord. 

before allowing any of us to speak on the subject, he blocked all of our accounts and had the audacity to speak for all of us.

there is alot of that went down, but regarding myself he proceeded to draw inappropriate artwork of his NONBLACK OC leading my BLACK OC on a leash his explanation was that it was a “loyal servant to a master” theme which um.. you can see did not help his case in the slightest. 

below is my response to his post using another account (and he blocked that one too lol)

yeah princess here, the only reason people are still coming to you is that you dont understand that you are completely at fault. this is not “two sides who are hurt”, this is a group of people who are looking for a solid apology from someone who has caused a wide spectrum of damage.

this apology that you wrote is just you trying to grasp onto the notion that you did wrong but “you didnt mean to!” “i am a person who makes mistakes!” “im mentally ill!!!” whats the point of adding this? these are not little oopsies that you made. you have left out the severity of your actions. i told you that even though you didnt intend to cause harm, you DID cause harm and that you need to take accountability for your actions without involving your personal feelings, which to be honest you have never been able to do.

you ask why we never came to you about these things in the first place, and its because you have an extensive history of going into an emotional state and even going as far as to make MANY suicidal statements. that “i dont deserve anything” “i cant do this anymore” “i’ve always been a failure and i always will be”causing people, and mostly Rat, to have to comfort and reassure you instead of you just being quiet listening to how you harmed people and apologizing about it.

though i cant comment on the other sections of the apology because its not my place to do so, i WILL be commenting on the art you made of my character.

YOU DID NOT RECIEVE PERMISSION FOR THAT PIECE OF ART.

YOU DID NOT ALLOW ME CONTEXT OF WHY YOU CREATED THAT ART.

you throw this petty little comment of how art can have good or bad interpretations and that you should ASK the artist their intentions before assuming. i did exactly that and you said nothing. you said and i quote

“i dont know what i just effing drew”

i asked you what this art meant and you responded with a keysmash... so you tell me how i could possibly interpret that artwork as something good or harmless when you gave no explanation? a black man being on a leash? not to mention you also did the same exact thing with a genderbent version, so two of these awful pieces of art exist.

not to mention this explanation that you gave here is still disgusting. once again you did not ask how i felt about this. we’ve talked before about ship art and you have asked me each time if you could make ship art of our characters before you did it. so why didnt you ask for permission before this one? before having my character, my, as you described, “strong, stern, and assertive” BLACK OC in a submissive, “loyal guard dog” position? being led by a NON black woman? we always talked about these two characters as two independent individuals with similar backgrounds as a couple. not a gross servant, master relationship.

i came to you civilly when this entire situation came to light. i told you its hard to believe you didnt see the awful intentions of this art and that it should be common sense to not do something like this. then you gave me the excuse that due to your ADHD or your mental state you dont think deeply about your actions before doing them. that you dont have someone in your life to tell you what is wrong.

you are aware of the immense history regarding harm against black people. you are aware of the concept of racism, as it is literally stated on your trigger list to “not make any racist and sexist statements” and if someone did they would be someone you are “no longer comfortable with”. so, yes, its hard to believe you werent aware of this!! its all very ironic! and of course i became angry and began to curse because you just told me that the reason you took a BLACK OC made by a BLACK WOMAN and put him on a fucking leash is because of your “>w< silly wittle mental health”.

as i said before, take accountability without trying to give some bullshit explanation, because i dont care. i am not about to sympathize with this. listen to black voices. listen to the black people in your life.
