#tbt 10 Rye facts! 1. Rye was adopted along with Olive from @phillypaws on Aug 23, 2014, when she was about 6 months old. She was a very bony 4 pounds of tortietude and lots to say and didn’t like the other kittens her own age so had to be in a cage by herself, from which she grabbed Dad. 2. She is now about 4yo and 11lbs, making her the biggest and middle child. She is the peacekeeper and voice of reason. Both fig and olive like her enough to let Rye join them in a bed. And Rye will come to Fig’s aid if she starts crying when Olive is playing too hard (or Fig is being dramatic) 3. Rye loves all people she has met, and is totally at ease with strangers and loves new places - she is crazy about the vet, she just hates to drive. Cries nonstop. 4. She has always been very chatty but has become a little quieter since Fig joined us. She loves her but Fig has lots to say and she will always let Fig go ahead of her for many things - same with people food treats like eggs. 5. She lives for her crunchies and is getting pickier about wet food. Her fave human food treat is plain Fage yogurt and chicken. 6. She growls viciously in her sleep often and her tongue also comes out when she sleeps. When she wakes up to stretch, she usually stretches her tongue out further when she does a big stretch. 7. When Olive sprained her front wrist a couple months after we brought her home, Rye was super gentle with her, no fighting and gave her only cuddles until she could tell Olive was feeling better. 8. Rye is a major lap cat and loves being under the blankets with you, between your legs. 9. She loves hugs. She will stand up on her hind legs and put her paws up in the air to let us know she wants a hug. She will then grip your shoulder and mash her face into yours and you neck, nose, glasses, cheeks while purring feverishly and drooling. 10. No human has ever made her mad. She won’t bite or scratch anyone for anything. She is just the nicest cat you’ve ever met. 🖤🧡🖤 #oliveryefigfacts
