if we were villains 🎭: are you into theatre? who’s your favourite shakespeare character? would you or do you smoke weed or cigarettes?

i’ve always liked theatre, but never looked beyond school plays until a few months ago; i’m just starting to immerse myself in its world! and of shakespeare’s plays, i’ve only ever read julius caesar, so from that, it’s marcus brutus– i think he’s a very complex character with a fascinating arc. also, i want to try weed (and/or edibles) at least once, but i’m not that interested in cigarettes.

dead poets society 🖋: do you prefer poetry or prose? do you get along with your parents? do you resist authority or do you deal well with it?

i prefer poetry over prose, but not by a large degree– poetry feels more freeing and vivid, for some reason? and i don’t get along with my parents, at least not as much as i want to (it’s just. a Hot Mess™). i typically deal well with authority, almost to a point of blind obedience; but i’m improving and learning to resist when the situation calls for it.

wine 🍷: how far would you go to help yourself? what about to help other people? do you think humans are inherently selfish?

if something is very high stakes for me, as long as i’m not stepping over or hurting other people for it, i can go against my own principles to help myself (it’s not something i’m proud of). on the other hand, i believe i would do everything i can to help the people and/or causes i care about. i think i’m a generally kind person and am willing to go out of my way to help strangers too. also, i do think humans are inherently selfish— but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. i think we’re born with enough of selfishness to help us survive a constantly changing world and it’s instrumental in our growth. it can’t be helped, it’s pure instinct. but as we grow older, there starts adding up a conscious element to it. we’ll think of ourselves, and we’ll think of others— but it’s who you end up making the choice for that actually counts.
