Haha, I saw him 2 days ago, so I was wondering what your thoughts were about it :D
It was surprisingly good and entertaining! Now just remember you’re talking to a person who knew over 100 dinosaur names as an elementary schooler and who went to see the original Jurassic Park in the theatre and afterwords drew a lots of art of raptors and T-rex scaring or eating stupid people. So I might be a bit biased.:D But it was 124 minutes well spent.
Why such hard questions?! :O I usually associate AU’s with fics I’ve read so here it comes.
1. Save the Kittens by Kareen2006. AU of Kingdom Hearts. Everyone should read this!2. Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics verse. I mostly read SnK stuff… I just recently found these fics and I’M SUCH A TRASH YOU HAVE NO IDEA I’LL TAKE THIS DARK SECRET TO MY GRAVE… WHOOPS.3. 1994 by Vee. SnK fic about Ereri set in the 90’s.4. But for me there is a storm (Haikyuu + Pacific Rim mix) by Authoress5. Exuviae by JulesD (Yowapeda Yoshiwara AU).
I can’t list many of my favourites and I’m kinda tired from the weekend’s con. Cannot brain today, I has the dumb.
this is my hnkna valentine's day exchange gift for tumblr user ollierlnts! it’s summer here, and I read some pokemon oras AUs involving swimming pools, so i was kind of in the mood for this. i also made this so it is set in a modern day au for my own peace of mind.
(edit: an unexpected trip to my dad's in the country was sprung on me and i thought i would have time to finish this but it turns out that i am going camping in the mountains for the next three days. so this fanfic will have. two installments. the other half will be released on the 23rd at the latest bc uni starts the day after. im so sorry)
“I hate the beach.”
Julius looked up into the white-hot sun, shielding his face with his arm.
“I hate the sun. I hate the screaming children. The salt gets in my eyes.”
“Come on, Julius, it’s not that bad,” said Alice.
“Yeah, loosen up a little!” Ace shouted.
It was the university break, and Alice had wanted to spend some quality time with her friends. Once Ace was on board, they combined forces to convince him, and he was forced to reluctantly agree to go along. They had only told him to bring a few pairs of clothes, and a pair of bathers ‘just in case’. As a destination, the beach did not require bathers as a ‘just in case’. This was not what he had signed up for.
Julius started shuffling sand between his feet. He was going to burn in the sun. What about his pale complexion? They could have gone to a museum for a day, some place nice, quiet and dark. Or they could have just stayed at home, played, he had no idea, hide and seek, whatever people enjoyed these days. Though at least there weren't any other people around at the moment.
“Hey, Julius, look at me!” he heard someone shout from the distance.
Julius turned around. At the top of a small, grass-covered sand dune stood Ace, arms spread, the wind tugging at his hair.
“I’m the king of hill!”
He laughed, and blindly back-flipped off into the air. As he jumped, his goggles flew off his face, and he quickly attempted clench at them, pausing for just a moment mid-flip. As the short amount of time it took to reach the ground did not accommodate the full occurrence of both these events, he fell hard and flat on his face. The goggles, on the other hand, landed a few meters away, and a passing seagull, recognising some value, began to peck at them. The cogs in its bird brain moved for a moment, and it decided to take the chance it had been given, closing its beak around the strap, and promptly left, flying up above. Ace gave a long, high groan.
Nitori works at the city library in the kids’ section. He reads books almost as much as he arranges them into shells – he especially likes the Famous Five series – and he’s also very, very pedantic and strict about the fact that 1) visitors keep quiet in the library 2) the books are handled like treasures and 3) suspicious individuals are not allowed to enter the kids’ section.
One day a young, red-haired guy comes to the kids section. Nitori becomes suspicious, because the guy looks too young to have kids. He must be there only for sabotage! Maybe he has a slice of bacon in his pocket that he will place between book pages! Nitori starts to follow the guy around, spying on him between the shells. He’s about to blow his alarm whistle to summon his boss Mikoshiba Seijuurou but then he notices that the guy picks up the same book that is his favourite: Five Have Plenty of Fun! And Nitori just knows they are made for each other. So he approaches the redhead and casually asks what the best part of the book is and in his dreams they are already waltzing towards the altar and… what happens next, we shall never know!
Well, obviously Tsukki is this full-of-himself idol wannabe who has a somewhat decent voice, but it’s mostly his cold charisma that convinces the judges and they give him three yeses. After his performance Tsukki goes to backstage but then he hears this magical singing. It sounds like a choir of angels had stepped down from heaven and ironically enough, the voice is singing Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida”. So Tsukki peekes between the curtains and sees this dull, colourless, pedestrian boy with ridiculous ahoge and freckles. The judges are crying, especially Simon Cowell. And the hosts are crying and the audience is crying and Chris Martin is crying while watching the show on TV. Tsukki is not crying. He’s flabbergasted because he knows that this insignificant boy sings better than him. And Tsukki just knows he has to have this person to himself so he can… he doesn’t even know it yet but maybe they’ll form a duo and make great money and… and mostly he just wants to throw the boy into a bed and bang him until he sings Viva la Vida only for him. (Chris Martin didn’t want to know this.)To be continued - or not.(The song Tsukki performed was “I’m too sexy”.)
Shinkai and Arakita in the worst horror film you know (worst either meaning the scariest or just badly executed one)
Arakita is the stupid protagonist that can’t keep himself out of trouble but always goes for the worst option. Shinkai is the girl that crawls out of the TV.Or alternatively. Shinkai moves into an old house with a dark history of brutal murders. He soon finds some old home videos of these murders. Weird things begin happening in his house. Eventually he notices a strange non-human face in the videos. As he gets in touch with a university professor, he discovers that the creature in the videos is an ancient demonic being called Arakita.I have no idea how they end up together in either versions.
This is gonna be absolute crap, because I never watch magical girl anime and my mind went instantly blank. (Okay, I watched Rayearth a bit many, many years ago.)
Spoilers for the second generation of YP!
So once upon a time there was an evil Midousuji who was planning to take over the whole Cycling World (cf. Discworld by Terry Pratchett) because he was holding a grudge towards magical bikergirlsboys that are better than him, especially Imaizumi. The magical bikergirlsboys must do something! Strong Izumida (element: muscle) decides to gather a strike force to stop Midousuji’s devious plans. Unfortunately, he only manages to find air-headed morons for his troop, since the bikergirlsboys from the previous class are already too old and saggy to prance around in tiny skirts. The first members for Izumida to recruit are Kuroda (element: ice) and a giraffe called Ashikiba (element: height; weakness: has Carmina Burana playing non-stop inside his head). They are followed by Manami (element: sleep) whose only virtue is the fact that he also participated in last year’s battle and is familiar with Midousuji’s tactics, Doubashi (element: raw power) and Yuuto (he has no element but his alter ego is reportedly Antichrist) who Izumida has some hopes for, because Yuuto’s big brother was quite a competent individual.
Together the bikergirlsboys head for the MistyMountains to practise their combat skills, and at first, everything seems to go smoothly, but then Kuroda and Ashikiba realize they love each other. It all begins when Kuroda sees Ashikiba bathing in a forest lake, silvery moonlight caressing his pale skin, and he realizes that this is a sight he has never seen before (cf. Rin Matsuoka). What happens that night has been censored from people under 20 years of age. In the morning Izumida finds the couple in an abandoned barn. Kuroda announces that he and Ashikiba are going to run off to another country to get married and drop this dull world saving quest. What can Izumida do now? As he suspected in the beginning, it was a big mistake to compose a strike force with incompetent second-years!
Sorry, this got really carried away! The next ones will be written with bullets.
