D.Gray-Man TAROT CARD ZINE Application Form for ANALYSTS and ARTISTS Open Today 4/18 and Closing 5/2!
CALLING ALL D.GRAY-MAN ARTIST AND ANALYSTS WHO LOVE TO ANALYZE THE SERIES!
Over the last two years we collaborated with over 150 artists to produce the 20th and 21st Anniversary Zines, projects dedicated to honoring the numerous moments that defined it as a story worth loving. For 2026, we look to honor the deep symbolism and character themes woven into D.Gray-Man with a Tarot Card project.
This Tarot Zine will rely on contributors' ability to translate symbolism, story themes and character arcs into Tarot Cards. A Tarot deck, at the end of the day, is about the human experience and a vehicle to relay a story. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT TAROT OR BE EXPERTS TO PARTICIPATE! We will provide references and consultants will be there to help.
There are THREE ways to participate to the Zine :
Major Arcana or Minor Arcana Artist (78 slots): As an artist, you will create an illustration which encompasses your assigned Arcana Card. (i.e. Being assigned “The Fool” card and depicting Allen’s journey) You are tasked with understanding and doing research on your specific card and making sure your final illustrations reflect the established lore.
Tarot Analyst (Up to 22 slots): As an Analyst, you will transcribe the meaning of your assigned Arcana card and analyse their link with a DGM character or moment within the story. You do not have to know tarot deeply to be an analyst, just be someone who appreciates the symbolism and themes of DGM and willing to do research! This role will essentially be tasked with character and/or story analysis through the lens of Tarot with a final organized and written piece that'll accompany the art card in the Zine.
Tarot Specialist : we are looking for people really familiar with Tarot and DGM, and would like to be a potential resource for your fellow Artists and Analysts!
Mods : You do not have to apply to be a mod, but if you want to help us organize this zine please leave a comment or PM us!
