Wool Socks: What’s something you look forward to in fall?

In October for my birthday I’ll be taking myself to this small town near San Diego that’s in the mountains. In LA the leaves hardly change, so if you want to see what real autumn looks like you have to drive an hour or so away. It’s so pretty there. Looking forward to actually having to wear a jacket and walking around looking at the trees and antique shopping.

I’m also seeing Hamilton in November so that’s exciting!

Cozy Blankets: Where do you feel the most safe and at home?

Lol...my room. But other than that I love going to the Huntington Library in LA. It is an art museum and several gardens. Most of the museum is designed to look like a European country estate. I don’t know why but when I go and I walk around I have this feeling of belonging there. And the gardens are gorgeous. I like going to the jungle garden and disappearing. There’s a spot I like to sit at, under this ficus tree (its roots are so big you can sit on it like a bench) and it overlooks a small pond. It’s my favorite.

The Little Mermaid: What sacrifice would you bring for love?

OMG I have no idea. It really depends on the relationship and what the situation calls for...I don’t know how to answer this. I mean in a relationship both people have to be willing to sacrifice. I want to work with my partner and I would expect that they would do the same for me, or else the relationship would end. But I also think you have to think about what is best for a relationship and what’s best for you as an individual. I’m not above sacrificing for love. I do it all the time, probably to my detriment. 

Let's say I was in a relationship and they got a great job in another city/state/country. I’d first be really happy for them and want to support them but we’d both have to have a discussion about what happens next. The move might be great for their career, but it might make mine more difficult if it’s a place that doesn’t have any museums and universities. I wouldn’t want them to miss out on an opportunity just because of me, so I might encourage them to go without me and we’ll do the long distance thing until we can figure something out. 

Or maybe I’m in a long distance relationship and I don’t want to move to where they are and they don’t want to move to where I am, so maybe we both decide to move somewhere totally different together?

I don’t know, it really depends on the situation. In short, I’m not above making sacrifices at all, you just have to be smart about it. You can’t devote everything to a person and give up everything in your life for a relationship that may end.
