do u know how olly and key became friends? cuz they knew each other before the collab right?

i don't actually know exactly when, or how no. they had no public interaction before the collab.

i think it might have been olly who reached out to key first. he said in an interview in 2019, that he'd always had an interest in k-pop, and key didn't follow olly on insta until the day he posted their collab, which was in july 2018. i think olly followed him before then though. maybe he just found out about key by chance?

or maybe key went to one of his shows and they met that way? i could be totally making this up, but i swear i remember key saying he liked their music before?

olly said they were exchanging dm's before then, so???

and he still likes key's posts bless him. he liked the farewell taemin group pic from the other day 🥺

it’s just so cute how olly and kibum are still in touch like 4 years after their collab :( like it could’ve been like a one and done thing like many other collabs but like they’re friends and :(( i’m sad they still haven’t been able to meet in person bc i know they’d hit it off. olly is so cute and a cinnamon roll. and olly said he’s open to doing another collab. besties pls :((

i wasn't 100% sure if they still talked, (but i guessed from the frequent insta post liking) but then olly spoke about kibum a few months back about how they still talk on insta, and how he knew about key's upcoming album - when he spoke about how he wants to collab again, but you knew that. and, ahhhh, it made me so happy.
