Puffinpaw’s full medicine cat name will be Puffinheart. Her mother is Squidleg and her father is Finfoot. Her mentor is Olmeyes. She has a brother named Oysterpaw.
Puffinpaw is a nurturer at heart and views the entirety of TideClan as her children, regardless of age. She is extremely attentive to detail and is her mentor’s eyes when he needs them. She enjoys playing games with the kits of the Clan on her downtime and is, apparently, the best at hide and sneak. She is quiet, but not very shy, and would defend her Clanmates with her life despite not training to be a warrior.
Puffinpaw is afraid of spiders and has a small and innocent crush on the deputy, Shorewave. She is close with both of her parents who are formidable and respected warriors.
Olmeyes was the result of a Half-Clan partnership between HavenClan and his home Clan, TideClan. His mother, Dolphinlight, met Podnose at a gathering and the two instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, when Dolphinlight was giving birth, there were complications and only Olmkit, the runt, miraculously survived. He was born without eyes altogether, leading Podnose to believe that StarClan was cursing them with a feeble, blind kit for taking a mate across Clans. He didn’t want much to do with Olmkit and instead took great lengths to prove his loyalty once again to HavenClan, taking a new mate and ignoring the entirety of TideClan during gatherings.
Olmkit always wanted to be a medicine cat. It wasn’t impossible for a blind cat to be a warrior with accommodations and extra training, but Olmkit insisted on being a medicine cat apprentice. He got what he asked for, and showed a talent for healing that no cat in TideClan had ever seen before. He often left camp by himself to find new, unknown herbs, and conducted experiments on himself and small animals to figure out previously unknown treatments for different ailments. One green-leaf day, he was out on his own, relatively far from camp, near the BlazeClan border. He was attacked out of nowhere by a coyote which resulted in a mangled front paw and several permanent scars. He only managed to survive when the massive BlazeClan warrior, Vultureswoop, and his mate, Peccaryclaw, came to his rescue. They took Olmpaw back to his camp, where he recovered in the medicine den for the rest of his training. He was finally named Olmeyes after he discovered a treatment for Reefdawn’s anxiety and compulsions, which were keeping her from her duties. The treatment included a mix of chamomile, passionflower, kava, and valerian root.
He is close friends with Lampreystar and would “kit-sit” her as an apprentice when she was confined to camp because of unruly behavior.
Olmeyes is a bit of a grump, but is great with kits and young cats. He is an empath and receives visions from StarClan more often than your average medicine cat.
He is the son of Podnose from HavenClan and Dolphinlight.
