For the past few years I've gotten off track with my faith. The world ending was a pretty big, disheartening, distraction.

But I've felt the need to come back, and I'm basically starting from scratch. I've missed the gods, I've missed seeing the divine in all things, I've missed being a better person.

So, back to basics.

Me: contemplates going full Hermes devotee for the passion that travel and translation instill in me as well as having a guiding hand with me as I try to survive a capitalist world and again at my inevitable death. Also me: plus I'm a liar and a thief so like no brainer.

it is so hard to find anything about actual practices of Hermes various cults, i find this very upsetting.

Further Aspects of Aphrodite

While I have not been posting much, I have been busy! I have many, many books that I am reading and I found some information I did not know about the Goddess of Love and Beauty; Aphrodite:

In some places she was counted among the Erinyes

Had many death related epithets like Killer of Men [Androphonos], the Unholy [Anosia], Gravedigger [Tymborychos], The Black One [Melania/Melainis], and Dark One [Skotia]

Other names she was believed to have been called are She Upon The Graves [Epitymbidia], addressed as Queen of the Underworld as Persephaessa, and some affiliation with the moon as Far-Shining [Pasiphaessa].

I get really discouraged at work sometimes. But then other times I get to help young couple prepare to have a child and feel like I'm doing the work of Artemis and Hermes blesses me with kind people who leave me tips and my whole day turns around.

New Project is completed!

Ok you guys, so I finished my little pet project way faster than I anticipated and have it up for you! It is an easy to read Hellenic Calendar! It uses the calendar of the Athenians, though I have removed most of the regional holidays/ festivities and it has none of the confusing Gregorian dates on it save for a page of helpful notes on the front of it. So, it is already for you to view/download on my new page, please feel free to take it and make cool calendars with it! For reference, it is 8 PM Pacific Daylight time, on the 19th of October at my location, making this the 25th of Puanepsion, so you know where we are on the calendar.
